It will be harder than you think. No one does email anymore.

We've ended up giving our kids phones after their sophomore year. I just use Google's Family Link to control what apps they install. They've stayed off "big" social media (i.e. Facebook, TickTok, Instagram) as a result. They still use some that are family/invite only (i.e. GroupMe and WhatsApp) so that their church leaders can reach out to them.
