To me it’s about maturity of the child as well as teaching them correct principles. We spent a lot of time helping them understand the whys of choosing to follow the Saviours path and the downside of not doing so

We often forget that agency is a realm of choices and that to actually gain exaltation we have to demonstrate our faithfulness by choosing between good and evil and of course choosing good

One approach we always took was to be as connected as possible via social with our kids. We saw what they communicated with others. Snap was their mode of communication We also never let them have their phones in their room at night past Bedtime. Their phones came into our room. That helped a lot.
