I hope your biggest takeaway from this thread isn’t what to do with the school
But rather how to help your daughter handle these types of situations in the future. You cannot take away all of her enemies. This will not be the last bully.

In the future, she may not even tell you about them. The best thing that you can do is to continue to teach her how to handle these types of people in these types of situations. What you described in this thread is typical first grade bad kid behavior. We have labeled it bullying, but honestly this is probably just a punk kid.

In the future, telling the teacher might also result in kids labeling your child as a tattletale and then joining forces against her and isolating her even further. Don’t get me wrong, bullying shouldn’t be tolerated and physical pushing should never be OK. That’s not what I’m saying. But you need to focus on helping your daughter handle these types of people and not relying on mom and dad to fix everything.
