Ohio by 3 points, exactly the same as a win over The NMst by 3 points?
Do YOU understand how data works?
They put in multiple data points and many of them are weighted and biased. Each win/loss is not equal.
The PAC games are inflated. They should be roughly in line MWC and AAC games, but instead they are weighted up with Big 12 and SEC games. This creates a bias and is self perpetuating unless the biased data is corrected at the root. It also plays into undeserving ranked teams, boosting each other's "win value" as they play each other. Like ranking youth C team wins, the same as A team wins. A 8-4 team in a C class shouldn't be ranked as high as an 8-4 team that played A and B teams.
It really isn't that complicated, but I wouldn't expect a Yewt to understand.
