And of course, absent some insane metrics, a team that’s undefeated in a typical SEC will be ranked much higher than a team from a typical G5 conference. And that’s not because the program inherently weighs the SEC higher, it’s because the SEC’s results will establish, without bias, that it’s much more meaningful to be undefeated against a typical SEC schedule than a typical NMSU schedule.
