Thx for putting this together! Fascinating actually and confirms what gut/eyes
tell you if you watch enough minutes. Some players just waste possessions way more than they should be allowed. Carlino always felt that way, even when he had a solid game, he'd make a number of decisions/plays that were infuriating and selfish. I totally understand that this is a very narrow look at a broad game, but I agree with your conclusion that KC should have played a different role. Yes he was a solid assist man, but running all offense through him gave him way too many opportunities to try and put the team on his shoulders and allow everybody else to stand around and watch him ultimately lose the ball. He's just one of those guys who's confidence outreaches his offensive skills and, of course, he was going to try and win games by himself when the rest of the team was not clicking. We all recognized that and admired it...when some shots were dropping. Yeah, he actually did keep us in a few games with that tenacity, but mostly with lucky bounces, getting his own rebounds or hitting 1 of 2 free throws. I think if you add it up over time though he was more of an offensive liability when he tried to keep it in his hands. What a fun player to watch and did so many other things to make this team competetive. I think a different coach would have used him differently.
