Basic Data
Here's some of the basic data that shows the high level numbers for the top 3 players of BYU.

Collinsworth: 607 Total possessions (398 Shots, 112 TO, 194 FT attempts = 97 possessions) = 495 poss w/o TO
Emery: 508 Total possessions (424 Shots, 45 TO, 78 FT [39 poss]) = 463 poss w/o TO
Fischer: 564.5 Total possessions (437 Shots, 47 TO, 161 FT [80.5 poss]) = 517.5 poss w/o TO

It's the Free throws that I think everyone is overlooking. They want to focus on turnovers, but the single biggest impact KC had on the team was the number of FTs he shot and missed. (And this only counts a missed 1-1 front end as a half possession, but it should count as a full). Fischer and Emery shot 83%, KC shot 65% - You can't have your primary ball handler/shooter shooting 65% from the line and hope to win tough games.

Note: I'm not counting offensive rebounds as not ending a possession. An offensive rebound (or a steal, or a turnover, or great defense) started a brand new possession.
