BYU'01 3rd String
You said you analyzed data "for offensive production"
You concluded KC's offensive production was < mediocre and that BYU would have been elite without his offensive stats but completely excluded assists and offensive rebounds.

You said his free throw shooting was too poor but his avg trip to the line produced 1.34 points.

Had Chase or Nick shot even more, especially of their own creation, I would have expected less than their avg shooting %s and higher than avg TOs. CF & NEs streakiness (std dev) played a big role in the meltdowns vs poor opponents.

Compare the teams PPP when Collinsworth sat vs. when played. Did the new guard line lead BYU to 1.02 or sub .97?

I look forward to getting a PG who can shoot lights out from beyond the arc. However, implying that KC hurt the team by playing PG is short sided. He was the best option.
