I wouldnt slap them with an honor code violation. As far as crimes being
committed i would let the police determine whether or not to press charges. In the case of a rape they often overlook lesser charges so that they can get the perpetrator of the higher crime.

I think its silly that theres even an argument about not being willing to overlook lesser HC violations so as to make it easier to get a sexual predator off campus.

Surely you can help the offended party with their sexual abuse and at the same time help them get the other stuff figured out all without putting their academic standing in jeopardy.

If they get busted later for that HC violation in a completely different instance and investigation then by all means prosecute (this is generally how the police handle it)
