I think you better rethink.this position. Women on campus in the early years were much different than they are now. It is not their fault they aren't as safe but the fact is, they srent.
So your comment that BYU did okay without an HC for many years is proof they don't need it now just doesn't make sense.
I too believe bishops should handle most issues, except things such as breaking the law (in most cases) but bishops are able to a better job because the HC is in effect.
For one thing the HCO can help protect BYU while individual bishops may not be able to.
I believe many if not most HC supporters would like to see changes but not the wholesale changes some on here are calling for.
It is the truly negative comments and wholesale condemning of the HCO that we a responding to and then we are called out for that.
