Are these girls under investigation for other serious crimes?
I don't think so. They are under investigation by the HC for lesser "violations" of the code. We're talking small potato stuff like alcohol, curfew, or drug use. Stuff that the police don't care about.
Why is it so important to people that they pay for these lesser violations? I think it would be better to gain some perspective on this and realize that the harm of rape on campus is infinitely greater than a violation of the HC.
