I always get frisked. 
Seriously, they open up camp chairs, purses etc. (not that a 6 pack would fit in either of those either).
The only way I can get anything is is 1) if its in the back waistband of my pants, giving me the appearance of a badonkadonk, or 2) if it looks like its something else, like a sealed water bottle.
I've never had them just not see it otherwise.
