Wow...

We better stop supporting the Jazz.. lots of Jazz fans drink and I know TONS of Jazz fans that smoke. Can't be a good member of the church and support something like that.

I'm a huge Braves fan.. but there are several players with tattoos that post pictures of them partying during the off-season on Twitter. I better not support the Braves either.

TV shows often talk about beer and alcohol, guess I better cut any of that out of my life too.

And we don't even bring up some of my non-member friends and investigators I taught on my mission that had issues with drinking or smoking.. can't very well be their friend if they are going to take part in those things.

Give me a break. Sure, there are lots of things that members of the church disagree with that happen at RES. But welcome to the world.. there are lots of things that members of the church disagree with that happen everywhere, every day. It's the world that we live in. Do I agree with what they do? Absolutely not. Do I participate in those activities with them? Of course not. But does that mean you can't be a fan of their sports team? Uh, no.

Did you not see the picture of President Uchtdorf in a Dodger jersey throwing out the first pitch? Lots of alcohol in those stands... and LOTS of anti-Mormon stuff goes on in LA... but President Uchtdorf still was wearing the jersey.
