We are in town just the week and had plans to pick him up directly from camp to head into the mountains with family. At this point we'd rather spend the time with family. If that's not being a "man" then I'm ok with that.
I get not bailing on commitments. At school, he never misses practices, does not complain about playing time, and respects the authority. He is self-motivated to work his butt off and is a team player. Camp is something we pay for in order to help develop him, and if we're not getting what we need out of it we have other priorities with our time. I have no issues with BYU or the camp. It's just not the right fit for him. Enough said.
