Imagine you're a BYU coach. Camp is the very best opportunity you have...
to evaluate talent, talent that is actually interested in attending BYU. And you only have a few scholarships to give, so you have to thoroughly evaluate the top talent and make tough decisions on who to offer.

We all know that if you're serious about getting a scolarship then you gotta go to your desired team's camp. Why? Because that, in my opinion, is the primary reason that they have the camp... to evaluate kids. You'd think it'd be about player development but that's secondary to scouting by the time these kids are in HS.

When's a better time to evaluate talent? It's too precious an opportunity. Coaches have got to pit the very best talent against each other to compare and decide who they're going to offer.
