It's an absolute FACT... do you know what a fact is? It's a FACT that the New Years Day bowl games get to take 1... highest ranked G5 program and invite them to that bowl. You do recognize that there is still a significant difference between playing in say the Fiesta bowl and the Frisco bowl don't you?

The New Years Day bowls have zero contractual obligation with BYU... none. They don't have to take BYU at all. Does that mean that they can't take BYU? Nope... but considering that every P5 conference has a tie in with the New Years day bowl games... our chances are slim to none of ever getting in.

The highest-ranked conference champion from the American Athletic, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt will automatically get one spot in either the College Football Playoff, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl or PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. Wait... I didn't see BYU's name in there... interesting.

Now here is an interesting tidbit about BYU, – BYU was supposed to be tied into the Poinsettia Bowl this year, but that no longer exists. However, it has a deal with ESPN to be assured a bowl slot somewhere if eligible and not in the College Football Playoff.


So that's interesting that ESPN can get us into a bowl... but not just any bowl... a Bowl in which ERT owns...

So I'm not dealing with falsehoods... I'm working with facts here, something you have yet to bring to the table at all. BYU's only real chance at a New Years Day bowl game was last season... where there were 2 opens spots for G5's. That opportunity isn't going to present itself again until I believe 2022 or 2024.

Once again... our seasons are meaningless... completely 100% meaningless.
