The more planning required, the less likely a person is to pull off a suicide attempt. The less planning required, the more likely they are to pull it off.

The average person wouldn’t know what pills to take, or how many, or how painful it would be, or if it would work. I, right now, couldn’t tell you the answer to any of those questions.

Gun people are incredibly defensive on this issue. I get that. But let’s admit some basic things - guns are super dangerous, by design. They make it really easy to kill things. That doesn’t mean you can’t have them or that people are “blaming guns” for suicide. But you at least have to be honest about what they are and the risks they pose.
