The life changing aspect of going from 1 hour commute to 15 minute commute was huge for me. No way would I do 4 hours of driving multiple times a week.
I also have a hard time imagining a competitive team like that would be only twice per week, but I don’t really know. Just seems like a commitment I would not be willing to make.
One of multiple reasons my kids will almost certainly not be D1 athletes.
