How much development does he get taking 2nd or 3rd team reps?

Do the coaches spend anytime developing non-star players? Personally, I think that at some point you have be realistic in telling your kids what the odds are and have a real conversation about what is an appropriate amount of resources to spend pursuing a hobby.
