Depends on how much time he’ll get with the AAU team

I’m good friends with a local kid in Oregon who decided to play AAU with an elite team out of CA. He only practiced and played on the weekends but still a lot of travel for the kid and his family. He ended up being a top 10 recruit for class of 2021...a lot of that had to do with his AAU team and the exposure he got from playing with them. They consistently comment on what a blessing it is for their family that they chose to have him travel to CA to play. Had he stayed here in OR he would not have had nearly the same opportunities.
