except the "average" non athlete is not getting their schooling paid for like
the "student-athlete", so why are you trying to drag the average student into it? The student athlete is getting their education for free, so there should be some accountability on their part to be eligible for it. Just like my high school coach wouldn't let anyone play if they didn't have a min 2.5 GPA and not have an F in any class, and it is still the same for my son's team today.

It would probably be safe to say that the average student is not getting a scholarship from any school, if they don't have higher grades and test scores. If anyone is so worried about it, there are plenty of schools that would accept a student even if they don't have the higher test scores. I am pretty sure UVU will admit anyone who can prove they have a pulse, and I am pretty sure every state has at least 1 college that does the same thing.
