And yes, being raped IS punishment, a horrible one at that, for all of the poor choices leading up to it (assuming that there was poor choices such as friend-choice and drug use. Many rapes have totally innocent victims, but we are assuming the girls does drugs here).

One doesn't need to sit down and say, "Listen little dear. We know you were raped and that was HORRIBLE. BUT we MUST punish you for your drug use! You will be expelled for that. NOT the rape. Let's make this clear!"

Good grief, the girl has suffered enough and is smart enough to know her poor choice led her to that situation. Don't pile it on.

God judges each by our own circumstance. The Honor Code, in the interest of being fair, does NOT do this. It seeks a one-size fits all punishment when in reality, every bolt requires a different socket and every nail should be hit with the proper hammer.
