Calm down, you misread my post. I realize a rape is not an infraction
But an investigation is not a ruling either. If the victim's claim are correct, what better way to get the scum off campus? Especially if the police can't prove it one way or the other? Do people think the victim is the only one kicked out here when a ruling is even reached? Here's a scenario: a student rapes another student and the victim reports. There is not enough evidence to convict. It's one person's word against another. What's better, let them both stay or kick them both out? If the sex was really truly more consensual, both getting kicked out could reevaluate and reapply. If it was really more of any attack, at least the victim could take solace in the fact that the attacker wouldn't be able to prey on any other victims, at least at BYU.

But claims of sexual abuse or assault should not be taken lightly either. What's more, if someone is willing to throw untruthful claims that could ruin a person's life forever, I don't want them at BYU.
