My advice......
First, hats off for just trying. You are a good man for just trying and wanting what's best for the kids.

- Slack off on the training. Do the bare minimum when it comes to training and unnecessary meetings.
- Make campouts short and sweet. We go every month but usually we leave around 5 and are back well before noon the next day. The boys don't feel slighted one tiny bit. Go someplace close and easy.
-Maybe it is a time for a change. If your heart isn't it in at all then let somebody in the Bishopric know. We all get burnt out, especially when the calling doesn't fit out personality.
-If you are with deacons I do feel strong that they should be camping frequently. It's keep them interested and helps immensely with advancement. If you can't do this then ask for help and talk to the Bishopric about it.
-Scouting is a demanding calling. Don't act like it isn't. Get help or get out.
