I'm a recently called Scout Committee Chair....

The first two things on the schedule were FoS and then Rechartering.... that was a real faith tester. Mix in all the Boards of Review and Court of Honors, and you can get swamped quickly. Not to mention, the training provided for the Committee Chairman was next to none. I literally had to self train on all of this stuff, and my council rep is pretty unhelpful. Chartering took much longer than needed, especially with the Council Rep out of the office from Dec. 21st through Jan 8th. Three weeks. Incredible...

My issue with Scouting, aside from the costs, is the paperwork, and the lack of networking within their technology. My.Scouting.Org is terrible, and not very user friendly. Scoutbook.com is better, but doesn't connect with My.Scouting.Org.

BSA is a lot of work, and I tire of it too. We'll see what the future holds for BSA.
