I'm being serious here. He went to the Sugar Bowl which was
Awesome. Very impressive. All teams benefit from a bit of luck so getting his team to that game was impressive. Other than that year, several third place finishes and a couple second..

you say dominant but you can't be dominant in my opinion when you lose games. It's 4-3 head to head. We won those games. It took big plays at the end of the game but somehow our coaches get no credit for us being in position to win. We criticize our coaches for losing at RES last year but they had us in position to win despite not being expected to win. It would have been by a respectable margin if not for some horrible breaks. I guess Whitt's coaching was what turned that game?

His Pac12 venture has been less than impressive to me and I picked them to win their division before the season. Blown out by Washington, asu, and Cal. Hardly world beaters. With his back up qb you say? Whose fault is it they have garbage quarterbacks? The guy recruiting them. They wouldn't even have Hays if Chow hadn't convinced Whitt they really needed a backup qb.

I like Whit. Good coach but good enough to gush over? Not for me.
