I would like to hear why we differ in our opinions.
I know I'm a BYU homer and could very easily have been looking at this from a jaded point of view, so I am interested in how you came to your conclusion. A few things that helped me form my opinion was I'm from Bountiful and grew up with Cam Jensen and knew his family was big Ute fans and older siblings loved and were very proud of how much they liked being apart of the school. So when Cam chose BYU over Utah and Oklahoma it came as a shock to me, also to hear the background of Jan Jorgensen was a somewhat similar also helped think this way. Bronco seems to be right there every year when it comes to landing some of the top defensive players in the nation, for example Uona, Manti, Ethan M., Troy Hinds, and guys that were very heavily recruited like Van Noy and Stout. Plus the guys that Kyle has now he lost in the recruiting battle to Bronco like Star Latulelei and Aiona, not to mention guys like Matt Asiata who signed with BYU but couldn't qualify academically and went with the Utes once they did qualify. When it comes to OLine I know Ryker was one that both schools were heavily vying for which to me seemed like he was initially leaning towards the Utes but in the end he went with Bronco. Plus that top lineman out of Timpview that signed with UCLA and is currently on mission, had BYU as one of his top two schools right down to the end despite his father not liking BYU. Chase Hansen was heavily persued by both schools but the way I saw it is he chose to go with Kyle simply because of Taysom Hill and Tanner Mangum are both BYU bound and both are speculated to be on a completely different level than Chase is.

To show how limited my view is on this the only real recruiting battle that Kyle won where both schools actually had a chance of getting when it came to DL/OL is that Silva guy that left for the pro's early after last season. I'm sure there are a lot more that I'm not aware of but I know this year the highest rated recruit, possibly ever, from the state of Utah was Troy Hinds and Bronco ended up with him.

To me it seems like Bronco focuses more on the early high school guys and has a lot of success with getting them signed very early in the recruiting process where Kyle focuses a lot on JUCO guys and has had a lot of success landing the ones he has offered. If I'm not mistaken Kyle has signed around 10 JUCO guys each year for the past few years, which is nearly half of his entire recruiting class. This also lead me to another jaded opinion that Bronco actually has a better eye for spotting college talent in high school while Kyle is better at spotting proven talent on the college level.
