This study proves absolutely nothing, although I will add that it reinforces (but doesn't prove) the intuitive assumption that, of the nominally LDS kids (in other words, kids who are on the church's books) who either go to the U or the Y, there is a correlation between the more devout and choosing to go to BYU. This doesn't come close to "proving" anything.
