in their top 5. They either weren't offered by BYU or were not interested enough in BYU to seriously consider BYU.
Similarly, there is not a single Utah commit this year that was in the running with BYU (I think only one of them even had a BYU offer, Harrison, but he didn't have BYU in his top 5).
Finally, of the guys Utah is pushing for now, there is only 1 for whom they are contending with BYU, Keanu Tanuvasa, and it sounds like the biggest question is if Utah wants to tie up a scholarship for him two years down the road. In other words, he's another example of BYU having a better chance if Utah is doing well enough that they might not have a spot for him.
