I'd be contacting admissions this coming week asking for more info. Is there a
mechanism to appeal an admissions decision? I didn't make it in the first time and when I talked to admissions they were up front with me regarding what I'd need to improve.
Don't let your son rule out attending as a transfer student. I'm sure he could get an excellent scholarship elsewhere and still have a great experience for a year or two before transferring to BYU.
