and here is something about it that perhaps you didn't know. BYU's was built by a guy they call King Hussein. He is a huge BYU donor and booster and the owner of one of the biggest engineering/construction firms in the USA, in fact he builds all of the Costco's all over the country, he is Costco's personal contractor.

He donated most of his time and firms time to that facility. Millions of dollars saved, literally millions of dollars. He designed it, so no cost to BYU in design, he contracted it, no cost to BYU, and made it all happen. The design of BYU's facility is to this day far ahead of every other indoor facility in the country. The first thing you'll notice when going into it, especially in comparison to Utah's, is the size and height of the facility. It dwarf's Utah's. It actually has a 100 yd field with extra space beyond the field. As I noted before Utah's only has a 90 yd field and that fills pretty much the entire space, there isn't much room past the endzones. BYU's is also much, much, taller. The design they used, and designed by King Hussein, was a series of giant arched trusses, unlike anything used previous to that facility and still far ahead of most everyone else's, that allowed for the largest and highest free standing roof for a practice facility in the nation. It's actually considered an engineering marvel. It is still state of the art and ahead of almost any other.

Once again all you've got to do is walk into each of them and you'll see it, you'll know. That's a simple way to verify it. And I've been in both many times.
