And this is based on two football players getting shot where lots of witnesses and the victims confirmed what happened (3 unknown people show up to a party, cause trouble, are asked to leave, and then shoot the players)? And you think that the SLPD is willfully not going after someone (apparently you are insinuating that these were players who shot other players) who SHOT someone else because they are protecting Ute football players? And that the players who were shot and the coaches were all cool with that? That's your theory? Oh, and by the way, there were lots of stories about that and follow-up stories as well.

Again, let's look at what we do know. The SLPD (you know, the guys who protect attempted murderers) arrest Dominique Hatfield when there is video surveillance evidence showing he was not doing what he was accused of doing, and the DA is cool with that? Oh, and by the way, there were TONS of stories about that from all of the local media. Maybe he should have shot someone, then they all would have looked the other way.

By the way, do you remember the many articles from the Trib (correctly) tearing up Greg Winslow and Chris Hill?

Compare that with what we know about the Y. Koroma gets arrested for DUIs, the police reports are available online, but there are no media stories about it and suddenly the arrest info gets pulled down. And then he doesn't miss a single game. Do I think there was some conspiracy there all the way to Kalani, Holmoe, and the Church Office Building? Of course not. But you know what they say about glass houses.

Or in the end you reference parties, drinking, and weed and complain that no one does anything about that. Again, let's look at what we actually know for sure. Police show up (apparently numerous times, based on the recording) at Francis Bernard's apartment. There's booze and weed. Even though it's happened before, do the cops do anything? Any arrests? Nope, even though he's belligerent to the cop. Do I think there's some insane conspiracy and coverup? No, of course not. The fact is that, for better or worse, cops just don't care that much about college kids drinking and smoking weed. Do plenty of players at the U do the same thing? Sure, just like college students do everywhere, even in Provo (although we don't have belligerent videos of the U players threatening people without any repercussions).

I'm pretty sure if this didn't involve the U and the Y you would take a step back and realize how crazy this appears.
