11 million in subsidies that BYU calls “tuition allocation.” On top of that BYU reports like $17M in revenue from women’s sports which, as best as anyone can tell, is money from BYUTV that is getting funneled in to prop up the athletic department. So at a minimum you have to knock off the tuition allocation if you’re knocking off Utah’s. Utah gets a good chunk more in revenue no matter how you define revenue (as long as you use the same definition). And I’m not trying to hide or getting a “subsidy,” I’m just explaining what it is. What you call it doesn’t really matter if you understand what it is.
