Japanese seem rather repentant. That was a prideful nation who for nearly 80 years since hasn't created a national army. That's fairly repentant. They also allowed us into the nation immediately after the war and basically allowed us to rebuild it in our image. They've been allies ever since. I think we've asked a lot of the Japanese people since the war and they have been more than accommodating. Not saying the Germans haven't been but I'd be hard pressed to say the Japanese are less repentant.
