The Japanese did what they did in the Philippines because they thought the filipinos to be inferior is the same way the German's thought the Jews and the Slavs were. There was no military value for what they were doing. It was pure hate as well.

The Rape of Nanking was just as racially based and anything the German's did in Poland.

The Japanese did exactly the same kind of horrific experiments on people as the German did.

The Japanese ATE some of their victims, which I have certainly never heard of Nazi's doing (but who knows ... maybe they did).

I think the only thing I see as unique is the German were more efficient at it then the Japanese. It just took less guards at extermination camps to use modern technology to gas dozens of victims at a time than it did to use ancient technology to behead victims one at time in the Rape of Nanking.

One other difference ... the Japanese BRAGGED about in the papers and in propaganda .... the Nazi's hid it and kept it secret. I'm not sure which is worse.

I think you are focusing on the EFFICIENCY .... which I really don't think is an element of "evilness".

BUT, alot of people react that way ... the Atomic Bomb is "EVIL" because it can kill 100,000 people in seconds with one bomb from one plane, while traditional bombing takes 100s or 1000s of planes dropping 10s of thousands of bombs months to kill that many people.
