Likewise my time living in Japan and Europe, visiting extermination camps, reading up on the subject, etc.

Are you implying that visiting Nanjing or living in China have somehow biased me in favor of the Japanese? That would be very odd. The Chinese certainly aren’t biased in favor of the Japanese in any way I can think of.
