I think people misunderstand marriage. Marriage isn't about making yourself
happy.
It's about making someone you love happy, which comes back to you. If you aren't prepping your body and your character and trying to understand what makes the opposite sex happy, then you're just spinning your wheels. It sounds like your daughter is focusing too much on her own happiness or lack thereof, which is having negative effects. Sounds like you're doing the best you can. Tough situation.
