Brian Kelly seems to be doing okay for himself in South Bend despite all the restrictions placed on him. I've worked in college athletics, nobody is turning down a high level FBS head coaching job to stay at an FCS school and make $250k per year, regardless of what they tell anyone. Jay would take the Kansas or Rutgers jobs tomorrow if they were offered to him because there simply aren't many available positions. Now those are terrible jobs because there is very little chance of winning. You can actually win at BYU because there is a built in recruiting base that is better than anything you will find outside of the top half of the P5 programs. But you actually have to win to take advantage of it.
