This year:
114th total offense
114th passing offense (a whopping 147 yds/gm)
70th rushing offense
71st in scoring
96th 3rd down conversions.
104th in 1st downs.
105th in team passing efficiency
And they're actually around top 30 in sacks allowed, so that's not the problem.
Pretty awful considering he somehow convinced a former Utah and Fresno OC to come be his OC. It doesn't seem all that difficult to put up points and yards in FCS ball and WSU is dreadful.
Fesi had the #18 scoring offense. 400 yds/game. 18th pass efficiency. etc.
Hill has also only been in Utah. How does that help recruiting? Maybe he'd push for more money for assistants, because he somehow got Dave Schramm to drop to the FCS level (even though his offense is sucking it up), but I don't know. He's literally as home grown as we can get. He's never been anywhere. Utah under Whitt and WSU. I don't really see how he's a slam dunk overall. He hasn't had to deal with FBS fundraising and recruiting and BYU's self-inflicted problems. And he's another Whitt guy, whatever that might mean.
