Had he not had a couple attentive coaches, he would never have gotten help until it was much worse. His coaches made him get checked out when he returned and did not look right. They were smart and he lived. Just because one is young, doesn't mean they can not die and can not be hit with long term effects from the Covid. The long hauler syndrome is horrible and to be completely honest, we have no idea how long and how bad that is going to be. Younger people are much more likely to be long haulers, which will affect their athletic careers. It is not a bad thing to be pushing for vaccination and using every tool to help these guys stay safe.
