I still posit that fear is what leads us to worry about future possibilities. It is dangerous to tie something as clear cut as the benefits to society of vaccination to Biden’s political and economic goals.

Completely agree the people were east to convince in the 50’s but the fact is the draconian Economic measures and forced vaccinations in the 40’s and 50’s did not lead to government control and the opportunity was greater then than ever before. Including now. The government essentially owned the economy in 1944. And it’s much more open now. The fears we are told are coming have been falsely prophesied for almost 80 years.

And your plea for honest transparency is what burns me most about Trump. He took Obama’s lack of transparency and took it to schitzophrenic levels of absurd lying. His Schtick was worse than Baghdad Bob in 2003. Bald-faced lie after bald-faced lie. And on completely meaningless issues too.

As a lifelong Republican it hurts what he’s done to the party and country. But I’m a dreamy-eyed idealist who believes our politicians should all be honest statesmen before they are political hacks. But I digress.
