I think we have a great grasp of the risk of major side effects with 100's of millions delivered. Short-term risk reward
looks great for the vaccine. Pretending you know there are no risks of any long-term issues when we don't have long-term data undermines credibility. For people with virtually zero risk of COVID being an issue to want to see more long-term data on any potential unintended consequences is not a crazy stance. Especially when a large number of those in question likely already had COVID at this point and thus have natural immunity which data from Israel and Cleveland Clinic seem to indicate is as good or better than vaccine immunity since it is immunity to the full virus and not just the spike protein.

If a bit more time passes and we don't see any autoimmune or reproductive issues from the vaccines then we'll know both short-term and long-term it's the right call and everyone should get it. But we have no long-term data so forgive people who may have natural immunity and as such about 0 chance of an issue for waiting a bit.
