This is much worse than prop 13. As government becomes more liberal and grows the tax accessor just decides to raise the
Property tax to meet the salaries? If that were the law in California when it was conservative and prop 13 didn’t get voted into law, property taxes would be much higher and not just for new owners.

If Utah stays that way and eventually becomes liberal, Gov. job salaries will swell and tax burdens will crush people.

I can see how this would work for continuing fiscally conservative Governments. But that’s not likely to happen for ever.
