Every comment you make screams you know less than zero about CA property tax
New CA buyers aren’t complaining about how much tax they pay. It’s a known cost which doesn’t vary like other tax systems. And lower than other tax systems. Go look at property taxes in NY, NJ for same purchase price.
The state and local governments dislike prop 13 vehemently. They have hated it since it passed in the 70’s. Why, because it holds down tax revenues. Even from new buyers.
Since using actual tax facts isn’t your strong suit, we should just agree to disagree on CA property tax and if it’s fair.

I know it sucks, but Prop 13 did not double the tax. Prop 13 kept the previous owner's property tax from rising up to
