I'm also not wrong about the mentality of switching to get "playing time." Most Davis county kids would rather die than switch schools, that clearly isn't the case with Utah county kids.
Timpview, as one example, might be the worst baseball team in the state this year (5A/6A). Are the kids who live in Provo just not that competive? Lack resources? Don't care? Have parents who arent' very smart? But 8 minutes away in Orem they are?
The culture of schools switching to win games in Utah county high school, and bending the rules to make it happen, are long and documented.
