TheCougarBunch Walk-on
I'm an engineer and I kick myself almost daily for not going to med school
My dad (a family doctor) convinced me not to because of the ACA and other things that happened while I was in my undergrad.
I thought I was being smart by accepting the 6-figure salary out of undergrad and saving a lot instead of going to med school. But after a decade of poor to mediocre raises despite having great performance ratings I'm far behind my brother that went to med school even with his med school debt and 7 years of no or little income. He made up the savings gap between us within a few years and will out-earn me for the next 20 years.
