Right. Additionally they need an accurate idea of what it really means to be a doctor. I come from 3 generations of
doctors on my moms side and both my dad and grandpa on my dad’s side, but although I have 5 brothers and two sisters, none of us ultimately went into medicine as we could see what it was actually like for our dad.
He was incredibly successful (eventually created a publicly-traded medical corp out of his practice) but he also had multiple heart surgeries and it didn’t look like it was worth the stress to me.
