our income plateaus early while people in medicine just see their pay skyrocket due to the barriers to entry. Unless you luck out on a startup, it's a frustrating career. I'm also super jealous of people in health that can just set their own hours and days they want to work. It's MUCH MUCH easier to start your own business in health because you just have to hang out a sign in your neighborhood. In the tech industry, you largely have to go out and sell to other businesses instead and the transactions are much more significant $ so it's very uncertain.

I'm going to recommend to my kids if they don't want to go into finance/business/law/teaching or some trade, they should strongly consider healthcare instead of engineering.
