I agree with this, but I think a big problem is we don’t value the idea as much as we should because we value wealth so
much (or maybe I should say we value having things so much, because it frequently leads to the accumulation of stuff but not the development of wealth) that we don’t see it as an option.
I think there are a lot of jobs that are looked down on by intelligent people that they might actually enjoy much more and ultimately enjoy life more.
I say that, but I don’t mean to pretend that I’m free from it. I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing right now if I wasn’t confident I’d be able to create wealth as well, even though I’d do it as a hobby either way. I also value the accumulation of wealth maybe more than makes sense to me.
