Tithing spent to keep the Temple Square area attractive to visitors? That's at least remotely reasonable.

Tithing spent to subsidize football? Not so much. Unless football is your temple...

All this is besides the point, however. The fact of the matter is the city creek center's cost is usually exaggerated. And most importantly, the money didn't come from tithing. So this entire discussion was dead to begin with.

Bottom line (and it hasn't changed): If football needs to upgrade, its supporters need to make that happen rather than looking for the Church to offer some kind of federal government style handout/bailout.
